East 27, Bountiful 13 (9-1)

Great job guys. Here we are 14 weeks from the day we started and we're doing what we should be doing. I can't be more proud of the way you guys pumped yourself up for this Bountiful game, went out and reacted to our adjustments and just settled down and played football the way East is capable of.

The best feeling about this win was that it was a TEAM effort and that is the only way this is going to happen. Takai ran the ball very well (best rushing performance of the year), Brent and Trevor's INT's were key, the defensive line never quit and always put pressure on the QB. So many things worked well in the 2nd half that allowed our defense to shut Bountiful down.

I want you guys to be excited, but also save some of that excitement and let some of it start to gear toward Skyline. It is all we need to be thinking about this coming week. We need you more focused and ready than you have ever been this season. As usual, I will have a scouting report printed up for each of you guys. I started thinking about Skyline the moment our Bountiful game was over. I hope your intensity for wanting to beat them will match mine.

Practice is at 5pm. Please be there with your pads on and ready to go. Do not make the coaches lose their voices as we try to talk. Please pay attention to what we are saying as everything will have meaning.
